Nasdaq comes up short
The US stock indices are ending with gains today. With the higher closes, the Dow and S&P reached another record close. The Nasdaq fell short of it's record close level by about 6 points.
- The S&P index closed up 3.64 points or +0.15% at 2503.87. The high reached 2508.32. The low 2499.92
- The Nasdaq index closed up 6.173 points or 0.10% at 6454.64. The high reached 6477.76. The low 6438.41
- The Dow closed up 63 points or 0.28% at 22331. The high reached 22355.62. The low 22283.35.
Chip stocks did well today.
- Nviidia rose 4.13% on a upgrade
- Micron increased by 2.25%
Financials also did well as US yields moved up for the 7th consecutive day:
- JP Morgan rose by 1.42%
- Citigroup did better with a gain of 2.26% on the day.
