NASDAQ up 1.44%

US stocks are opening with solid gains, but has only partly retraced the declines from yesterday when the S&P fell -3% and the NASDAQ fell over 4%.

The snapshot currently shows:

  • S&P index up 15 points or 0.56% at 2671
  • NASDAQ up 88 points or 1.27% at 7197
  • Dow industrial average up 96 points or 0.38% at 24687.

Those gains are still less than the pre-market levels. So although higher, the market is still a bit apprehensive.
