The Bank of Japan minutes of the September 2018 monetary policy meeting
Just a few days after each meeting Governor Kuroda publishes the 'summary of opinions' which takes a lot of interest out of the minutes. Since sept September we have had the octo October meeting also, so all in all the focus on the Sep, meeting minutes is small only.
Summary headlines:
- Will take time to achieve 2% price target
- Momentum towards reaching target still intact
- BOJ will take into account side effects (of monetary policy)
- A few members noted that there are some views in the market that BOJ policy is unclear
Yen is barely moving.
