He has warned against easing of the austerity pedal. He also says eurozone countries battling debt high debt and budget deficits should stick to the consolidation path or they could delay a return to growth.

At the annual ECB report presented to the EU parliament he noted that

Economic adjustment, both internal and external, has been significant, has implied high costs in terms of unemployment and should not be put into risk of unravelling now.

It will be interesting to hear the thoughts of Mr Draghi next week as he is sure to be questioned on the austerity subject next week.
