Comments from Chicago Fed President Charles Evans on CNBC:
- In favor of being patient on raising US interest rates
- Decline in wages is somewhat indicative of low inflation
- Should not be raising rates before 2016, want to see more inflation progress toward 2%
- Sustainable unemployment rate is 5.2%, or less
- Doesn’t want US to be like Europe on inflation
Evans spoke on Wednesday night in Chicago and was similarly dovish.
