The Reserve Bank of New Zealand meeting is tomorrow - and I've posted a preview or two:

  • Preview of the RBNZ monetary policy meeting from Goldman Sachs
  • NZ Central bank meeting coming up this week - to cut or not?

From Morgan Stanley now (Sung Woen Kang and Jessica Liang):

  • Say that since the March meeting "economic developments have played out in such a way that the market now prices in RBNZ easing as early as the upcoming meeting"
  • MS don't agree, though - the two analysts there say a cut is more likely in September and October: "In the June MPS, we expect that the RBNZ could exhibit an easing bias explicitly by stating the potential scope for a rate cut later in the year"
