- Irish border solution must be precise, clear
- UK withdrawal from customs union would make border checks inevitable
- there must be no ambiguity on Irish border deal
- UK has raised substantial issues over transition period
- substantial disagreements over transition period
- transition not a given if disagreements persist
- moment has come for UK to make choice on future relationship
I did say last week, and prior, that this was a far from done deal. Behind all the blather and hype and false smiles/handshakes lays a large gap in position to fill.
Cue GBP drop. GBPUSD 1.3833 EURGBP 0.8850 GBPJP 150.90.
Anyone still thinking the pound can only go higher after yesterday's BOE bs ?
