Beijing comments that it would be premature for UK to seek TPP pact

Comments from Chinese officials in Beijing via Reuters

It is said that UK trade minister Fox asked about a trade deal with China, and mentioned that the service sector openness is a big issue for the UK. Fox is also said to have mentioned that free trade agreement is not the only option for a deal with China - citing mutual recognition or sector-specific options.

This comes after earlier news that was released that the UK has started informal talks to join the TPP agreement.
