CANADA DATA: Feb trade surplus unexpectedly narrowed to C$292 mln from
$1.9 bln in Jan, shrinking for the third straight month. Exports
-3.9% to $39.6 bln while imports +0.2% to $39.3bln. Energy (-6.9%) and
automotive (-11.9%) products led the decline in exports. Higher imports
of pipeline dilutents and aviaition fuel lifted energy imports 18.3%,
contributing to the overall gain. Surplus with US shrunk to $4.8 bln
from $6.1 bln, with exports -3.8% and imports +0.4%. Deficit with
countries other than the US rose to $4.5 bln from $4.1 bln.
