Data coming up for Canada

Canada is in focus on the economic data calendar at the bottom of the hour.

Two major releases are due out. Retail sales are expected up 0.3% m/m and CPI is expected up 2.8% y/y.

At the moment, the OIS market is pricing in a 90% chance of a BOC hike on October 24 but if NAFTA and/or the data goes sideways, then it will definitely be back on the table.

The US calendar is light with the Markit PMIs due at 1345 GMT (9:45 am ET) and not much else.
