A few things on the agenda to wind down the week:

  1. 1230 GMT (8:30 am ET) - Canadian manufacturing sales
  2. 1315 GMT - US industrial production
  3. 1400 GMT - U Mich prelim consumer sentiment
  4. 1400 GMT - JOLTS
  5. European close: Russian rating (S&P and Fitch), Norway (Fitch), Czec Rep (Fitch), Spain (Moody's)
  6. 1700 GMT (1 pm ET) - Baker Hughes rig count

On the ratings watch, I don't expect any drama. Spain might get an upgrade but other upgrades haven't affected the euro.

There are no central bankers on the schedule for the remainder of the day but we'll watch out for any surprises.
