Germany's largest bank taking additional charges

One of the sub-plots in today's trading was the drop in European banks.

Deutsche Bank released a statement saying full-year revenue will be about 33.5 billion euros with a net loss of 6.7 billion euros for the year. The company is taking a litigation provision of 5.2 billion euros and restructuring charges of 1 billion euros.

Shares initially spiked lower but quickly rebounded because the losses appear to be related to litigation.
