European Central Bank President Jean-Claude Trichet was in sombre mood speaking on Sky News. He called the ongoing financial crisis the worst since WW11, with the financial “heart” of industrialized countries in a very “turbulent and difficult episode” adding “it is the first time that the heart of the finance of the industrialized countries is at stake.” OK Jean-Claude, if that’s the case, then let’s hurry up and get those euro-zone rates a lot lower to help improve things!!!!
