A preview of what's on the calendar in European trading today

Good day, everyone! Hope you're all doing well. It's been a quiet start to the session, but certainly not one without action. The dollar remains on the back foot still and continues to tread near the lows for the day.

Ranges have been pretty decent to say the least, so let's see where European traders will take us later in the session.

0700 GMT - ECB's Ardo Hansson speaks in parliament

Hansson will be holding a short presentation on economic situation in parliament, followed by a Q&A session with Estonian MPs.

0700 GMT - ECB's Villeroy speaks at a conference in Paris

Villeroy will be speaking at an investment conference on how to accelerate the momentum in financing.

0830 GMT - UK April services and composite PMI

Prior report can be found here. Another key report to watch out for in the UK economy. This is the more major one compared to the other two released earlier in the week as the UK economy relies heavily on the services sector. Estimate is for a rebound to 53.5, so let's see if we'll be getting another surprise.

0900 GMT - Eurozone April preliminary CPI figures

0900 GMT - Eurozone March PPI figures

Among the two, the inflation report will be the key one to look out for. Prior report can be found here. Though inflation readings are one of the more key items to look out for with regards to the ECB's policy, keep in mind that April figures are a little distorted thanks to the Easter holiday. More on that here.

1100 GMT - ECB's Praet speaks in Paris

ECB economist Peter Praet will be delivering the keynote speech at the OECD Chief Economist Talks in Paris, France.

1200 GMT - ECB's Vitor Constancio speaks in Frankfurt

Outgoing ECB vice president Constancio is to deliver the keynote speech at a joint conference between the ECB and the European Commission. He will be speaking on "Fostering banking union and capital markets union".

1230 GMT - ECB's Benoit Coeure speaks in Frankfurt

Coeure will be moderating a panel in the same conference as Constancio with regards to the same topic.

That's all for the European session. I wish you all the best of days ahead, and as always good luck with your trading!
