The dollar is moving in sync for a chage this afternoon with stops loss orders in the 1.3420 area being triggered along with small stops in USD/JPY at 90.50. Seesm like USD/JPY shorts are growing a bit frustrated at the bucks resilience at 90.00 and are covering a few shorts ahead of the weekend. EUR/USD seems to be weighed down by the scary numbers coming out of Ireland. Similar numbers are expected in Greece, Spain, Portugal and Italy. France and Germany will be less grim. The boom was pretty small in the core of Europe, so the bust may be shallow as well.
One headline of note: The board of the New York Fed meets tomorrow to consider replacements for Tim Geithner who is set to replace HankPpaulson at Treasury (lucky guy!).
EUR/USD has reached 1.3416 so far while USD/JPY is at 90.55.
