The major pairings are trading close to their NY closing levels from Friday with EUR/USD around 1.4815, USD/JPY 81.10 and cable 1.6715.
There was an escalation of violence in Libya over the weekend which might impact on risk aversion and oil prices but so far the market is quiet.
