• cases rise to 165,719 from 164,801 on Tuesday. That's a gain of 918 on the day. That is higher than yesterday's 541
• deaths rise by 18. Total deaths stand at 29,861 from 29843 on Tuesday
• number of people in hospital down to 8336 from 8536 on Tuesday
• number of people in ICU units down to 582 from 602 on Tuesday

Meanwhile, the US continues to struggle with the momentum of cases increasing.
