Carney comments help. NZD hurt by China/milk prices

The GBP is the strongest currency this week, rising against all the major currency pairs. BOE Governor Carney laid the pipe for higher rates sooner rather than later.

The NZD was the weakest dragged down by worries about China and lower milk prices. Against the USD the NZD fell by 2.79% and traded at the lowest level since the July 26th of 2009.

The below charts shows the % changes of the major currencies vs each other. The changes vs. the USD are also shown. The USD rose against all the major pairs with the exception of the GBP. It was the strongest against the EUR and the NZD (they are neck and neck). This despite weaker Retail Sales. FOMC Chairperson gave her best effort to reiterate that she expects rates to rise in 2015. Ok...we believe you...sorta....
