The 7-day incidence rate falls further to 20.8

Total active cases is seen easing slightly to ~58,900, the lowest figure since 17 October.

That is a good sign on how the virus situation is progressing but it will still take time before it translates to much improved medical capacity and mortality figures.

But as things stand, it is likely the German government will look into trying to ease measures going into the summer given the lower 7-day incidence rate.

As of yesterday, there were 1,700 (-96) virus patients requiring intensive care with there being 3,547 (15%) intensive care beds still available across the country.
