IMF comments on the US economy
- Reiterates view that Fed should wait until the first half of 2016 to hike
- Sees US growth slowing to 2% in 2020 from 3% in 2016
- Further gains in USD could leave economy 'significantly debilitated'
There's nothing particularly notable here or surprising. It's pretty much a given that potential growth will slow by the end of this decade because of worse demographics but very few governments are planning for it.
