TOKYO (MNI) – Japan’s coincident composite index (CI), which
reflects current business conditions, fell an unrevised 1.1 points to
90.3 in November, hit by lower shipments of durable goods and reduced
industrial production, Cabinet Office data showed on Friday.
As seen in preliminary data released earlier this month, the
coincident CI posted the first fall in two months after rising 1.3
points in October.
In November, six out of the 11 sub-indexes comprising the
coincident index fell, including industrial shipments of durable goods,
industrial production and retail sales.
The composite index was set at 100 in the 2005 base year.
Other details from the latest data follow:
The leading composite index, which measures the state of the
economy three months ahead: Nov revised 93.2 (+1.2 points m/m) vs.
preliminary 92.9 (+0.9 point), posting the first rise in four months.

ago: Nov revised 83.0 (+0.3 point m/m) vs. preliminary 82.8 (+0.1
point).
