TOKYO (MNI) – The ratio of job offers to job seekers at government
placement offices stood at a seasonally adjusted 0.67 in October,
unchanged from September, meaning there were 67 job offers for every 100
people looking for work, the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare said
on Tuesday.
In September, the ratio rose from 0.66 in August, marking the
fourth straight monthly rise and hitting the highest level since 0.70
seen in December 2008.
The ratio has been on a general uptrend since slipping to the
record low of 0.43 in November 2009.
