That's a massive number for this data point and is up 125.4% y/y
That's very bad news for the Fed but the minor caveat is that these are expected layoff and don't all necessarily lead to actual job losses
Such a big number smacks of one off cutting by some big firms. I'll have a look at the details
Update: Big layoffs were noted by Microsoft, Qualcomm and Intel. It matters not about the nuances, it's bad news however you look at it
