They say financial markets are driven by fear and greed. Today, fear is in the driver’s seat and those strong enough to feel greed are feeding off of that fear. EUR/JPY, the barometer of risk for virtually all the financial markets, is at a two-and-a-half year low at 139.65 this morning. Japanese investors are pulling money out of international markets and global investors are losing confidence in Europe. Early 2006 lows at 137.05/15 are eyed if levels below 139.65 can be sustained.
