TOKYO (MNI) – Japanese real average household spending in July is
expected to have declined 3.0% from a year earlier for a 10th straight
y/y drop, following -4.2% in June, according to the median forecast of
analysts surveyed by Market News International.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications will release
the July data at 0830 JST on Tuesday, Aug. 30 (2330 GMT Monday).
On a seasonally adjusted basis, consumption in July is expected to
have risen 0.8% month-on-month, a second consecutive monthly rise,
following +0.8% in June.
