Mixed mood among Asian equities today
The Nikkei traded higher into the closing stages, riding on the back of the more positive risk sentiment in the past hour with US futures also seeing gains of just over 1%.
Meanwhile, the Hang Seng is down by 1% while mainland Chinese equities are keeping closer to flat levels going into the late stages of trading today.
Overall, this points to a more tepid and mixed mood with European futures also keeping lower - catching up to the losses in Wall Street overnight.
In the currencies space, the dollar is still keeping gains for the most part with EUR/USD easing slightly lower to 1.0838 after euro area finance ministers fail to reach a deal to coordinate a response to the economic fallout caused by the virus outbreak.
