USD/JPY ticks lower as Tokyo begins the week
The negative sentiment late in the day in the US on Friday spilled over as the new week gets underway in Asia. The Japanese stock market is down 1.0% in early trading. Australia's ASX is down 0.1%.
USD/JPY also moved lower to 120.33 from 120.50 at the turn of the hour as some quick orders to sell USD go though.
Markets in South Korea and Hong Kong (among others) are closed today for lunar festivals. China is open. If you're into astrology and in the Americas, there's a red, super-moon eclipse starting in about 40 minutes that will be a total eclipse around 10 pm New York time.
