Greek PM Papandreou says that Greece is not asking the EU for assistance. In the next breath, he says if Greece can’t borrow from the market, it may need to turn to the IMF…Sounds like he is sending a message to the EU to get a nice fluffy safety net ready in case this thing goes south in a hurry…He sure likes threaten the EU with having to play the IMF card…
