WASHINGTON (MNI) – Eurozone leaders may have to revisit plans for
the second Greek bailout agreed in July, Germany’s Finance Minister
Wolfgang Schaeuble said Friday.
“Clearly the figures have changed,” Schaeuble said during a press
briefing at the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Meetings.
“I would be surprised if the conditions for the payout of the next
aid tranche [from Greece's first bailout plan] have changed, but not the
conditions for an additional aid programme,” he added.
However, Schaueble would not be drawn into speculation about what a
new program may look like, and he stressed that no discussions about it
would take place before the next tranche of the current bailout, worth
E8 billion, had been decided.
“We are taking one step at a time,” he said.
