Stocks to climb
It's been a choppy trade in US equity futures since the weak non-farm payrolls report. They had been higher ahead of the data and a modestly soft number would have been goldilocks but it was so weak it raised questions about the strength of the consumer.
That has sent futures fractionally negative just ahead of the open, though off the lows.
