Switzerland UBS August consumption indicator just out 27 Sept
- prev revised up from 1.38
Say UBS;
- new car registrations in August boosted the indicator with nearly 6% increase yy
- upward trend in overnight hotel stays by Swiss residents also helped, up 3% yy
- weak unemployment is still affecting the indicator. In Q2 employment increased by 0.2%, well short of the 1% average since 2000
USDCHF currently 0.9714 just off session highs. EURCHF steady around 1.1440
