Japanese Industry Minister Ken Saito spoke on Friday regarding the government plan to extend its fuel subsidies "for a certain period".
Subsidies paid to energy wholesalers aimed at limiting the domestic prices of gasoline, kerosene and other fuels began in January 2022 and have been extended multiple times.
