China says to lift retaliatory tariffs on US cars from 1 January

Tariffs will fall back to 15% from 40% earlier

Pretty much confirms the earlier headline this week here. The lift on retaliatory tariffs will take into effect on 1 January 2019 and last for three months.

For some context, China decided to move to impose an additional 25% tariffs on US cars earlier this year in one of its retaliatory measures against US tariffs. Hence, the move here is basically just removing that additional 25% to its original levy.
